Movies

Update: I totally meant to give credit where credit is due. This list is dedicated to bugg.

So, I wanted to do this list, I like this list. However, I have a severe problem with lists (and i really like the word list). I feel like once I have put something down on paper, it's finalized, I can't change my mind. If I ever change my mind down the road and say something like, "Oh my gosh, that is my favorite movie ever!" Someone is going to be like, but it wasn't on that list on your blog. But oh well, here goes. I'm already wanting to change my mind, but I am going to just go with the gut here.

Top Five:

Made Me Cry:

Made Me Laugh:

TV shows I wish would be movies:

Sequels they shouldn't have made:
The Bourne supremacy
Ocean's 12
Bridget Jones II
Legally Blonde II
Cube 2: Hypercube

Sequels they should make:
None, it almost always ruins the first one, exception being Final Destination 2.

That's about all I can muster up for now :)

Gotta call you on the sequel statement. I agree that in many cases sequels stink but I have several more examples of sequels that were worth their weight:

  • Terminator 2

  • Aliens

  • Empire Strikes Back

  • Godfather 2

  • X-Men 2

  • Spiderman 2

  • Superman 3 - Props for Office Space heist

  • The Spy who Shagged Me

  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of D...-Oh wait never mind

    Oh that's a good list. I always want to change mine every five seconds too but it is what it is for that moment.

    I didn't see any movies you are embarrassed to love though! You aren't allowed to give me grief about the Sounds of Music anymore!

    I'm not saying ALL sequels suck. Most of the ones you mention are based on books and/or comics which already have story lines that have been continuing on throughout time, therefore, it makes sense to have a sequel. The main problem is when the film makers see how well the movie sells and then decide to make another one. I mean, really, the story is over, and you should really just be happy that enough people liked the first one...

    As for movies I'm embarrassed of...I just don't embarrass easily. I suppose they would most likely all fall in the chick flick category or maybe Disney. I like Lion King, 13 going on 30, I swear, I just can't think of any! If I do, I'm sure I'll blurt them out unexpectedly at work and make you snort!
