Aggie and her love for plums

plum.jpg
Two days ago Aggie ate a bunch of plums while I wasn't paying attention. She loves fruit, especially apricots, plums and pears. Normally I only let her eat two plums a day. Today, she pooped out 6 pits at one time. It was gross.

Luna does that with the cherries. She poops out so many pits, it looks painful!

so, dogs eat the pits whole. how come that's not dangerous? and why don't they just crunch down on them, like they do with bones?

ish... why do you think fruits have pits? the pits are seeds... they were designed by evolution to be eaten, digested and pooped out, still capable of growing into a new plant/tree/whatever. if pits either caused internal damage or were crunchable, the plant species creating the pits wouldn't survive more than a few generations.

oh, and aggie doesn't chew the plums, she eats them pretty much whole...plus aggie also isn't a bone cruncher. she's too much of a princess.

Aggieland:

A land where poodles are free to roam and frolick, day and night. Where toys and plum trees abound.
