Movies

Update: I totally meant to give credit where credit is due. This list is dedicated to bugg.

So, I wanted to do this list, I like this list. However, I have a severe problem with lists (and i really like the word list). I feel like once I have put something down on paper, it's finalized, I can't change my mind. If I ever change my mind down the road and say something like, "Oh my gosh, that is my favorite movie ever!" Someone is going to be like, but it wasn't on that list on your blog. But oh well, here goes. I'm already wanting to change my mind, but I am going to just go with the gut here.

Top Five:
Harold & Maude
Office Space
When Harry Met Sally
Annie Hall
Rushmore

Made Me Cry:
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
Spanglish
Swing Kids
Edward Scissorhands
Beaches

Made Me Laugh:
Best in Show
Mighty Wind
Zoolander
Undercover Brother
Napolean Dynamite

TV shows I wish would be movies:
Gilmore Girls
Simpsons
Futurama
Alias
The Cosby Show

Sequels they shouldn't have made:
The Bourne supremacy
Ocean's 12
Bridget Jones II
Legally Blonde II
Cube 2: Hypercube

Sequels they should make:
None, it almost always ruins the first one, exception being Final Destination 2.

That's about all I can muster up for now :)

The pros and cons of tissues plus lotion

Pro:
My nose is not raw, dry, cracked and bleeding.

Con:
My upper lip won't stop sweating.

Warning:
Do not attempt to clean your glasses with tissues plus lotion. If you do this while you are sick, you will want to cry.

reasons not to shop at pike place market

In theory, shopping at Pike Place Market is a good idea. I woke up early this morning with the best intentions. I gave aggielicious a much needed bath, fixed myself some breakfast and then got ready and headed out into the beautiful morning; my eyes set on the Market. The walk down the hill was pleasant enough. There were a few rocky patches as I fought my way through some tourists and hormone-filled-out-of-school teenagers, but overall it wasn't that bad. When I got down to the Market things got bad, real bad. So, the reasons not to support your local farmer's market:

1. Tourists

2. The smell of yesterday's fish fluids that have escaped with the melting ice and only get worse as the days heat up.

3. Yuppies with children, a.k.a. tourists.

4. People stop to look at the fruits and vegetables as if they've never seen them before. Oh, wait, those are tourists.

5. The suburbanites that think it is a good idea to try and get one of the 2 parking spots that are actually on the Market.

6. Did I mention the tourists?

Anyway, I got dirty looks and smart-ass comments for not being nice to some lady after she ran into me. Finally, I got my fruits and vegetables (it's easy once you actually reach your produce stand of choice because no one else there is actually buying anything) and got the hell out. My good intentions & good mood were gone.

guilty pleasures

I am an obsessive list maker. Then again, maybe I should just say, I am obsessive (as I have mentioned before). I count my steps when I'm walking alone, I have a very specific shower routine that when it is broken I often have to rewash because I can't remember if I've done it or not. I have to wash my hands every time I touch something metal. Anyway, main point being, I am an obsessive list maker. My journal isn't so much a journal as a collection of lists.

Today, while doing mindless filing at work I came up with a list that I first titled (in my head) "Guilty Pleasures" but then I realized these things were not so much guilty pleasures. I am not really a guilt-feeling person (i'm not catholic). I only feel guilt for things I do that hurt other people and even that is more remorse than guilt. These things are nothing to feel guilt about anyway. This is more my list of the most embarrassing things that I enjoy.

1. Having Mariah Carey on my iPod. Not any Mariah Carey, but her album, Daydream.
2. Tostino's Pizza Rolls, pepperoni.
3. Pre-teen (or "tween") Saturday morning TV shows (Lizzie McGuire, for example, in current years, Hang Time, in past years, and Saved by the Bell, in the even more distant past years). I just can't seem to outgrow this need to watch either these shows or Saturday morning cartoons.

If you had any of the same love for Saved By the Bell that I had, you can find out which character you are most like by taking this quiz.
